Telehealth Solutions and SystmOne

Telehealth Solutions and TPP are pleased to announce the integration of the SurgeryPod with the SystemOne practice management system.

SystmOne is a practice managment system that lallows integration across an entire health locality, so a GP can know when a patient uses any other healthcare service, such as a hospital visit or a GUM clinic appointment.

The SurgeryPod allows patients to self-test blood pressure, lung-function, and more unassisted, then upload the results to a GP's practice management system. It means that fewer GP appointments are spent on routine measurements, and that health professionals can be better informed. Enhancing the patient experience, and creating efficiency for the general practice.

Health Secretary Applauds Telehealth Project Manager

Scotland's Secretary of State for Health visited the Isle of Bute to personally deliver a Health Award for Innovation on Monday.

NHS Highlands Telehealth Project Manager Lynn Garrett was given recognition for her outstanding achievements implementing telehealth technology on the remote Scottish island, and the remarkable improvements in patient health made by telehealth. 15 HomePods were given to patients with chronic obstructive lung disorders (COPD), who showed a 90% reduction in emergency hospital admissions and time spent in hospital.

Ms. Garrett enthused: "we were delighted to welcome Ms Sturgeon to bute and give her an update on the telehealth project, which has proven a real success in streamlining services on the island."

The project is using Telehealth Solutions' HomePod, which allows patients to measure their blood pressure, oxygen saturation, send the measurements and communicate with their carer about their condition instantly and electronically from the comfort of their own home, keeping them safe, supported and in control of their condition.

Telehealth Solutions Awarded National Framework Agreement

Telehealth Solutions has been awarded a framework agreement by Buying Solutions, procurement partner for the NHS and all UK public services.

The agreement should allow public service bodies, such as primary care trusts, local councils, and the embryonic GP consortia, to procure directly from Telehealth Solutions.

Larger tenders are recommended to go through 'further competition' which would mean that Telehealth Solutions would be able to participate in exclusive 'invitations to quote' - available only to a framework agreement supplier.

The duration of the framework agreement is two years, with the option to extend it for two further 12-month periods.
